![]() The program comes packed with essential features. All we can do is try to educate everyone around us to stop permitting garbage software from being peddled as totally not garbage.Blender is a powerful, professional, and free open source 3D graphics tool that can be used to produce everything from single 2D stills, to full 3D movies in broadcast and cinema quality, and even interactive 3D content for stand-alone playback. Maybe Illuminant E rendering working space?.In the end, if I were forced to wager, I’d lean toward: A texture? Hard coded loading image buffer transforms might not be transformed(?) resulting in the texture RGB ending up interpreted as E? That means that equal “energy” R=G=B would be interpreted as D65 BT.709 primaries and perhaps adapted to Illuminant E, which relative to R=G=B would end up “blueish”. So given the UI likely isn’t fully and properly managed, the values might go through a hard coded transform in some places to the working rendering space. There are some good reasons to use Illuminant E, but not without a fully managed system. It’s entirely plausible that some developer put Illuminant E in as the working reference process space, then transform out. The fact that textures are closer is interesting here though. ![]() Given Octane is living in 1994 and hasn’t even begun colour management to the best of what I can see, that means the developers are making hard coded algorithms. It’s Developers Pooping The Sheets On Basic Colour Science.Įssentially, and I’m speculating because I haven’t seen Octane’s code, it is a problem with Illuminants. This has always confused me of course Here is a thread on the Otoy forums about it:ĭon’t let it.
